Born on the Zambian copper belt and raised in the WA goldfields, Richard has spent his entire life around mining. For over 20 years, he has developed a broad and deep background across resources, asset management, finance and assurance. With extensive experience as a Commercial and Finance Manager at mining operations, Richard has a thorough understanding of the drivers of operational performance and the challenges of managing complex mining data. Having expanded his front-line experience to supporting global operations across New Zealand, Philippines and the US, Richard has transformed the way operational data integrates with financial information for improved analytical power that drives bottom line results. Prior to his 10 years with OceanaGold, he worked for GMC Global - a leading maintenance consulting company to BHP, Barrick and Kinross among others - and EY's Financial Services practice. Richard is passionate about sharing his insights and scaling his approach to support the mining sector maximise the value of its resources.
